In the first quarter of 2024, train simulation games continued to entertain mobile users across Latin America. Sensor Tower's analysis provides a glimpse into the performance of the top train games on the iOS platform.

Thomas & Friends: Go Go Thomas saw a steady rise in revenue throughout the quarter, peaking at $1.4M in mid-March. Downloads for the game, however, showed a declining trend, with the highest at 472K in the first week of January and the lowest at 206K in early March. Weekly active users started at 1.34M but dropped to 1.13M by the end of March.

Budge Studios’ other title, Thomas & Friends Minis, experienced fluctuating revenues with a high of $1.1M in mid-February. Downloads remained relatively stable, ranging from 253K to 378K, with weekly active users showing a slight increase from 548K to 533K throughout the quarter.

Train Station 2: Steam Empire from Pixel Federation Games displayed a mixed revenue trend, starting at $975K and experiencing a dip in February before recovering to $810K in the last week of March. Downloads spiked at 8.74M in mid-January, followed by a gradual decrease. Weekly active users showcased an impressive peak at 27.8M but ended the quarter at 5.7M.

The charming Thomas & Friends: Magic Tracks managed to garner consistent revenues, with a slight increase from $639K to $793K over the quarter. Downloads showed minor fluctuations, with a high of 239K in late January. The game maintained a steady base of weekly active users, hovering around 600K.

Lastly, Mini Metro by Dinosaur Polo Club had modest revenues, peaking at $384K in the final week of March. The game’s downloads saw an upward trend in late February, reaching 82K, and weekly active users increased from 156K to 182K during the quarter.
